The dry wipe SEN Whiteboard was conceived in 2003.

Following observations in numerous schools we realised that many SEN children
frequently faced major hurdles in the first 5-10 introductory minutes of a lesson. This was
confirmed by OFSTED reports and by other concerned organisations. Lack of
understanding of lesson objectives, unease about what their tasks were and weak
technical vocabulary, seriously undermined some children's opportunities to succeed for the remainder of the lesson.

The SEN Whiteboard is designed to be used by the Teaching Assistant at the start of the
lesson as their teacher collegue introduces the lesson. It can also be used by teachers in
small group activities supporting, for example, a group of higher attaining children.

The SEN Whiteboard is ideally suited to making optimum use of unproductive Teaching
Assistants time during the introductory part of lessons, when Teaching Assistants
sometimes have to sit and listen to the teacher introducing the lesson.

Highly commended by OFSTED, the SEN Whiteboard is a 'must have' item for any
classroom.
